SYNOPSIS

The Women’s Adventure Film Tour is back for its 7th season bringing you a selection of 7 new short films that celebrate the inspiring women around us who are doing extraordinary things in the name of adventure. This year’s tour is headlined by the Australian film, MAKING IT, which follows pro surfer, India Robinson, former Australian netball captain Caitlin “C-Bass” Bassett, promising rugby star and UNSW student Aneeka Riley, and competitive skier Annabel Blake. The film explores the unrelenting pursuit of success for female and non-binary athletes and the complex and often conflicting ideas of when one truly “make it”. Plus witness the destiny of a sherpa woman, run solo across 6 continents with Jenny Tough, experience free diving, ice climbing, and much more. Every year, our unique films are carefully chosen to show awesome women achieving their personally adventurous goals. Being adventurous doesn't always mean being the fastest, going the highest, or doing the most extreme things. Adventure for most of us is stepping outside our comfort zone and climbing our own Everest. The films showcase real stories about women from a variety of cultures and sports around the world. The Women’s Adventure Film Tour 2023 is presented by Mountain Designs and sponsored by Costa, Victorinox, and Thermos. The films are exempt from classification as sports documentaries, but suitable for general audience viewing. *No refunds for missed attendance due to issues out of Adventure Entertainments' control.
